David Garrison | CPTED Certified (NICP) | Lead Firearms Instructor | 31-Year Law Enforcement Veteran

David Garrison is a veteran law enforcement professional with over 31 years of experience in criminal investigations, tactical operations, and training. During his career, he served as a violent crimes detective, handling complex, high-risk cases that required sharp analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound decision-making under pressure. This investigative background provides him with a deep understanding of criminal behavior, threat patterns, and the vulnerabilities most often exploited in both public and private environments.

He is the founder of Sentinel Defense Services LLC, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive security assessments and performance-based training for businesses, houses of worship, and residential communities. David holds a professional certification in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) through the National Institute of Crime Prevention, further strengthening his ability to assess environments and recommend effective, design-based security solutions. In addition to his investigative experience, he has extensive experience as a law enforcement trainer in tactics, firearms, and active shooter/threat response. As a Lead Firearms Instructor, he has trained officers and civilians to perform under stress, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and critical decision-making through realistic, scenario-based training and stress inoculation.

Whether conducting a security assessment or leading a training course, he focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening preparedness, and developing confident, capable individuals who can respond decisively in high-pressure situations.
